Talking 10 Gal grow op

Hey all. I have been into planted tanks for many years, but have not actively worked on an aquarium for about 2 years. Unfortunately, I came to find that I was really noobing it up on my earlier tanks, and now i'm hoping to redeem myself a bit.

I've been lazy about making the journal, but I'll show a few pictures of how it's progressed in the last 3 weeks.

So here's day 1. Looks pretty gross.

Christmas moss having a rough time.

Got some new plants. Xmas moss doin better.

Need to probably get some different fore/midgrounds to replace that anubius..

Update for 2/11/12! I got a new sword to get my anubius back on the left and I am hoping to grow a nice big java fern bunch off the left side of the driftwood. I'm slowly starting to try to develop more of a shapely scape. Trying to incorporate the use of triangles.

Here is a picture without the shapes

And finally here is a close up of some sexy rotala indica

I got an SAE to try to finish off some of the remaining hair algae.
