It's hard to see the scape with the "disco lights" it is pretty cool looking though.

When will you install the strobe lights? Put that on for 8 hours a day and watch the plants grow

The uv LED cost 35 bucks from oznium.com.
The ecopico arm was 115.00 total with the arm, the strips, the expansion and the ac adapter.
The ecopico seems bright enough, my only concern is if its going to be enough light to grow ug and erios. Seems like im getting mixed opinions on that. I cant seem to find anyone that has actually used one for any extended period of time while growing aquatic plants. Guess ill be the guinea pig.
As for the disco effect, it actually wasnt intended to be that way. My son wanted to make it look like "stars" at night, but the blue flourescent pen kinda took that over the edge. The background will probably make its way into the trash as soon as he forgets its there...lol

the light does appear quite bright from ur photos, although, its always different in person... if u dont mind me asking, which website did you purchase it through?

I purchased the light through ecoxotic.com
By expansion i mean the arm light came with one strip(2x12k and 1x blue led)
The expansion consisted of 2 strips each containing 3x12k leds, i purchased an xpa sion cable consisting of 3 total connectors which then connect to the ac power source and a dimmer.
Total price on the arm and all the add-ons was in the ballpark of $120.
The light really is pretty bright, however i canot give you an exact PAR reading as i just dont have a meter. As for what it'll grow....that has yet to be scene, Atm im attempting to grow an emmersed UG lawn and so far its spreading with excel every second day and daily misting.
