29 Gallon Rainbow Cichlid Tank *Pic Heavy*

well i have torn down, moved, and set up my 29 gallon tank. after losuing my two favorites fish, i decided it was time for a change. new setup, new journal. so here goes.

29 Gallon
120 watt cfl
8 hours a day with 55 watts and a4 hour 65 watt noontime burst.
mineralized topsoil capped with pool filter sand
5 lb co2 cylinder with reactor 500
eheim 2217 filter with hydor 200w inline heater

fauna:
6 rainbow cichlid juvies
2 pepper cories
1 sterbai cory
1 calico bn pleco
1 tiger pleco

flora:
i'm not even sure right now, got a huge raok from a fellow wv member.

still have some plants arriving and currently looking for plants, maybe like a kleiner prinz sword.

i'm very excited to watch this grow out and watch the rainbow cichlids color up.

christmas moss. was dried a little, it should make a full recovery and also grow faster now that the tank temp is down to 76 F from 84 F.

awesome! the moss is looking good! it will bounce back fast! may i ask what the bowl was doing in the tank?

i was refilling the tank with water, the bowl helps prevent sand from being thrown around. i normally use a plate but when filling it from empty it needed something more.

i have some more pics to add later today. first i have to mow, weedeat, clean the basement (puppies), shampoo the carpet, and vacuum my room. i think thats it...

sorry guys between coal mining classes and working as a mcd's swing manager i don;t have a lot off free time. updates tomorrow. i promise. pics from a few weeks ago and more from tomorrow. im off work but still have class. three more classes next til i can get a coal mining job. very excite.

Congratulations on the coal mining job! Those aren't easy to get anymore from what my friends tell me. It'll be great to no longer be a swing manager, huh? Looking forward to the update.

wow so i completely killed my tank but have just gotten a new camera and set it up again. ill post a link to the new jopurnal once i get it up. now that i only have 1 dog and not 7 i have more time to put into my tank.
