Mr. Aqua 7.5G cube journal. First rimless tank.

New to TPT, Throwing this up here as well. Currently had this posted on SCAPE

Im a total noob to aquascaping, this is my first rimless tank, but ive been doing some basic planted tanks in the recent past.

The tank:
Mr Aqua 7.5G cube
Up Aqua 9.8" LED light
Azoo Cooling fans
Eheim 2213
Yubao Shrimp and plant substrate
DI water remineralized with tap
Zebra stone

Flora: (for now)
Marsilea Minuta
DHG belem

Fauna:

5 neon tetras
1 SS grade CRS

The tank will hopefully be a breeding ground for CRS/CBS =D

Onto the pictures:

I then decided i wanted to go with dual 2213's

Then i decided to add a 5500k PAR20, took out the belem, put in some glosso, blyxa, and replant the MM.

Which is where i am now, Im hoping to get some more blyxa and pull out the glosso.

Theyre only currently in there to keep bio load up, once I get the start of my colony theyll get pulled out. The SS CRS that was in there was my "test dummy" to see if the CRS would survive in the current conditions of the tank. He's doing great so im going to go ahead with the CRS once i get a chance.

It had a bad motor, but had all the media, a brand new impeller, and all the double tap fittings.

I didnt need the motor anyway, as i have the first eheim pumping through the second.

What is your ambient temp and what does that fan keep the cube at? Reason I ask is I have been eying that fan for my cube but want to see if it is worth it if I can't get it down to CRS temps I won't bother with it. Great tank setup so far hope to get mine looking good.

ambient temp is 80-82 deg

the fan keeps the tank at 74 - 76 deg with about a 1/3gallon evaporation per day

if i point the fan staight down i can get temps to 72-74, but its more than a half gallon of evaporation per day.
