My 2 planted tanks.

I'm kind of new here, but not to the hobby. I thought I'd share a few shots of my tanks.

The one with a lot of driftwood is a 40g breeder and the one with the shrimp is a 11.4g rimless.

***UPDATE***

I got bored with my 40 breeder so I tore down the old scape and pieced together something new. I really like how it turned out and all that's left to do is wait for the carpet to mesh together.

Tank specs as requested

Hardware
40g breeder
sunsun 302 filter
oddysea 36" 4xt5ho 1x5500k, 2x 10,000k, 1x 6400k
Flourite black sand

Plants:
Starogyne Tropica 049
Starogyne Porto Velo
HC
Downoi

Animals:
Cardinal Tetra
African Dwarf Frogs 2x
Badis Badis 5x
Dario Dario 5x
Celebes Rainbow 2x
Celestial pearl Danio 1x

Smaller tank:

Hardware -
Mr. Aqua 11.4g
Toms rapid canister
Azoo hob filter
Flourite black sand
36w power compact light

Plants -
Dwarf Baby Tears
Downoi
Tonina Fluviatus
Flame moss
Xmas moss

Nothing all too special about the setup. I dose weekly after a 25% water change and that's about it.

Very nice but they's even look better if I wasn't looking thru them at the hardware behind.

+1 Beautiful tanks. Just slap a background on the bottom one especially.

I love how the background plants of the top tank make it look like autumn leaves =)

Haha yeah sorry about the awful hardware behind there. I been thinking about getting some sort of window treatment material to make the back an opaque white to mask the stuff. I had been using almond leaves as a background, but the cherry shrimp seem to chew through it in a matter of days.

I'm going to be redoing the 40 gallon soon and will update with pics when I can. The smaller tank will get pruned a bit and made to look a bit less cluttered.

Thanks for the comments .

Very nice Downoi. You got some good compact growth there. Care to post some of the tank specs?

Lovely tanks! They'd look even better with backgrounds as suggested. I really like that last one with the "raised beds".

So my semester finally ended and it left me with some time to finish the scape that I started a few months back. I'm waiting for the bylxa to fill in a bit more on the top most level. I think after that my scape will be complete. I did pull up quite a bit of Downoi and thank you to the people that bought them from me.

Let me know what you guys think of the new scape. Oh and before anyone says anything about the intake in the middle of the tank that will be moved to a less noticeable area .
