Now comes the hard part... being patient enough to let the crypts grow out and keeping my grubby mitts out of the tank.

4x Smudge Spot Corydorus
6x Pygmy Zebra Loach

Oh, and here's a quick shot of "under the hood". Looking to add a second canister filter at some point as well. Muhahahahahaha!

Man, I have been seriously slacking with this journal. I broke my camera back in late-June and finally picked up a new one earlier tonight. The tank is doing great and I will be updating with new pix in the next few days. Keep your eye out for L134 Leopard Frog Pleco pics!

Nice shots. Looks like you got a good handle on the new cam already. Are those Green Gecko crypts I see in there?

Yup, the crypts in the first picture are Green Gecko's. As you can tell from my flora list, I'm definitely partial to crypts.

I actually just bought a Crypt. Nurii pahang mutated off of Speedie a few days ago and it melted away to almost nothing within 2 days. I poked and prodded around in the substrate and was able to find a tiny remaining piece of the rhizome with a few small roots still attached.

I carefully removed it out of the substrate and have now planted it emersed in some clay and aquasoil in hopes of saving it. Hopefully I can salvage it and get it settled submerged in this tank in the next few months because I really like the look of that particular crypt. Crypt melt drives me insane!!

If you lose your Nurii LMK, I got a few around I could part with for you. Hopefully it comes back. They are pretty hardy so I would expect it to. And How about that FTS?
