Here's another shot of the mystery plant. I've searched through a few sites on NC native plants but I haven't been able to id it. Any guesses?

I added a single solarmaxx t5 strip, started up ei dosing, and moved some stuff around. I guess it's not so low tech anymore. I'm almost tired of trimming so often now. Almost.

I have also officially christened this tank "pearlescent" after my girlfriend lovingly named my new ram Pearl.

My ludwigia's leaves got too broad for my liking so I scrapped I it. In its place is a bunch more juncus repens. I'll try to post a picture tonight when I get off work.

I have seen it before, but I never knew what it was. I really do like the look of it. I definitely need another tank.

Here's an overdue update. I left the house for a week and I came back to a blue drop checker and a lot of algae. I've got it on the run for now, though.

Big thanks to jplove for the MM and other additions. His portions are huge!

New update... unfortunately I found my GBR stuck behind my moss wall. I'm thinking she got trapped and died because my water parameters were perfect.

Needless to say the wall had to go. Everything else is doing well and the algae isn't showing back up despite another week long trip out of state.

I've made some changes since the last update. I am finally not growing new algae after hanging my light 6 inches from the top and increasing co2. I'm still treating with peroxide and manually removing some bba.

This stuff has really taken off

Look Awesome,

You should try grow the java fern down the front of the stump, and plant another crypt beside the existing one, but in front of the stump.
