New 15gal Office Tank

Hello forum world. Thought I'd share my new office tank with you guys after a long hiatus from the hobby. Last tank I had was 4 years ago.

15 gallon tank (love this dimensions of this tank). Dirted with Flourite Black cap. Miracle Gro Organic Choice, finely sifted and soaked for a week. Eheim 2211 and Pressurized DIY CO2 leftover from years ago. New Finnex Planted + 24/7 LED 24" - This light is uber cool.

Initial planting later today or tomorrow morning. Tank is cycling and clearing up as we speak!

Tips for small and active fauna? I'm thinking White Cloud, which I think are a severely underrated aquarium fish. Others on my mind include Ruby Tetras and Ember Tetras. Must be <2" and active. My hesitation with White Clouds is that they really do their best in colder temps <72F, but I plan on also keeping other fauna (fond of sparkling gouramis) and plants that like warmer temps.

Thanks for viewing, stay tuned.

Planted 1/6/17

Took a few days for the water to clear up! Stem plants TOOK OFF! Italian Val melted all the way it got trimmed heavily.

Stem Plants: Rotala Indica to the back left and Ludwigia Repens to the far right and back center, both already turning pink and deep red with lots of growth and pearling!

Rhizome Plants: Anubius Nana is glued to the driftwood in several locations...may be too much light on the one to the far left.

Root Plants: Italian Val in back right corner was trimmed back after completely melting. Cryptocoryne Wendtii Bronze (Tropica) front middle and far right front corner with new growth already! Ozelot Sword in far left with new growth already!

Ignore the powerhead...using it as CO2 diffuser at the moment. My old glass diffuser was broken!

Two White Clouds

pH 7.1
NH3 0.25 ppm
NO2 0.50 ppm
NO3 2.50 ppm

20% water changes every day until I can get this thing cycled.

Ozelot Sword is loving the dirt and Flourite, two new leaves since planting and they are colorful!

Anubias are starting new leaves.

Stem plants (Rotala Indica and Ludwigia Repens) are still growing the fastest, ready for a trim.

Cryptcoryne Wendtii Tropica have not wilted yet and are producing new leaves.

Micranthemum Monte Carlo is still working on getting roots established, this is the to be expected. Some wilting, but also new roots forming from propagated segments.
