tank: standard 50 gallons

lighting: 4 x 21watts T5 (i need to improve on this) mounted on a DIY canopy

filter: eheim liberty 200 HOB filter

substrate: natural river sand

co2: 5lb tank + gentec regulator + needle valve + reactor

others: buble counter, analog timer

flora: hemianthus micrathemoides, microsorum pteropus "windelov" (rhizomes), anubias barteri, eleocharis parvula, limnophila aromatica, ludwigia inclinata var cuba, heteranthera zosterifolia, hygrophila corymbosa angustilfolia, riccia fluitans, ludwigia arcuata, pogostemon helferi

fauna: rummynose tetra, half black angelfish, ottocinclus, julii corydora (not yet in tank)

That looks great so far. A 50-gallon is a nice shape/size for a planted tank.

thanks for looking guys!

the discus are still juvies and they are around 2.5 to 3 inches. i was told that there should be at least four in a tank. so im still getting 2 more.

50 gallons is good enough for a discus as long as i keep up with the water changes. i really do hope i can.

just be careful because discus can grow to 10" and with 4-5 of them in your tank it might be a little small for them

sweet setup, I'm hoping to get my 50g started soon as well. I really like that driftwood as well. Where did you get it?
