Here's an updated shot of the tank; Its currently housing a bunch of F1 Rio Otapo Swordtails, plus a few remaining cardinals, etc... Its quite filled in now! The dwarf hair grass is everywhere...

I've learned a lot from this tank; from drop checkers, to macro fertilization. Its all really crystallized, the tank doesnt even grow any algae, its awesome.

Look out because in the next 6 weeks, you'll be seeing a planted 72g bowfront with wild brown discus from me

The contents of this tank have been moved into a 72 gallon bowfront. I'm waiting on some eleocharis 'belem' for the foreground. I'll post pics when things start to get interesting.

Man, that last photo is great! They all look good but that one pops! Great tank and real neat use of a true center-piece format! Very cool!

Thanks! The last pic is the only one that did it justice, and was taken by my sister with her SLR - my camera is crap, so that's why that one looks so great!

haha; quoting myself from a few weeks ago(above): "The contents of this tank have been moved into a 72 gallon bowfront. I'm waiting on some eleocharis 'belem' for the foreground. I'll post pics when things start to get interesting."

I cannot post an update of this tank, because it is no longer up and running

I can post a pic of the tank that it was moved too, but its cloudy from pruning/maintenance tonight. I'll see if I can get a crappy shot of it in a few days.

here we are...

You can see that the right hand portion of the tank is basically the formation from middle of the 16 bow. It needs a lot more time to grow in, and I'm not entirely happy with how the plants in the back left are growing; in that they are growing very poorly! I just put in 2 pots of gloss, and it seems to be thriving towards the front.

Thanks... I think the tank needs another peice of drift wood, perhaps projecting from the formation on the right.

If think I would work on maybe building the left side up like the right...make it well balanced

I'm sort of into like...having one side open, and the other side have a peice of driftwood; rule of thirds. More natural looking scape.

Ha! So funny for you to mention belem! I wanted to add belem sooo bad! Eleocharis 'belem' CANNOT be found in Canada, not that I can find anyway. I've been after it for months. I finally just decided to grab a couple of pots of glosso, just so I'd have something - anything -in the foreground. Great suggestion though, I love that belem.

If I ever spot it, or if my local plant guy can get it (last time we talked, he told me 6 months), then I will def. do a belem lawn.

It was interesting to see how the tank progressed and grew. It's gorgeous. I'd love to live in there if I was a fish.
