I have a test kit with both KH and PH tests, how exactly do i figure out how much Co2 I have in the tank? And will argonite sand (crushed shells) have any effect on those levels?

3.6 x KH (in degrees) x 10^(7-pH) is the formula to use. Example pH=7, KH=5. 3.6 x 5 x 10 ^ (7-7) so you would have about 17 ppm CO2.

Vince ,Is that a picture of your setup. I never saw a regulator quite like that and is that a bubble couter attached to it on the right side? Who makes that setup? or did you build it yourself? Hows it working for you?

ya its my setup, the t handle type reg was to much of a pain , so i found a used, but rebuilt flowmeter. Its not a kit I put it together my self. I had it in my 37gal for 4 years and its been on my 125 for a year.
