newbie needs help

OK , first off some info on the setup:
220g ,
Lighting; 8x54w t5ho

Photoperiod; 5-7 am and 3-10pm

Substrate ; gravel

Co2 ; pressurized running 2 diy reactors and per drop checker running 25-30ppm

Fish ; 6 rainbows, 4 neon tetras, 4 glolight tetras ,6 various platys ,4 Dennison barbs, and 8-10 Otto's.
Water : tap from a well ( very hard and high in ca)
Ferts ; gla ei kit dosed per "wets" calculator
Osomocote+ root tabs
Flourish comprehensive ( dosed lightly on micro day ) ....only because I have some left over

Plants . Jungle vals ( doing great)
Anubia( not sure which one) smaller species. Seems to be OK , not growing much but looks healthy
Anubia beteri(sp) doing well
Dwarf sagittaria. Not doing so well...yellowing transparent leaves
Spiralis doing OK
Ciliata. Not doing well yellowing with brown around the edges in spots.
Anubis hastifolia not doing well either... yellowing with the veins still green
Crypt wendti(sp) doing well growing like a weed with good reddish green color and lots of new growth.
Java fern doing OK with a little new growth
And a huge amazon sword .
With a couple more plants which I am not sure of the names yet

Just started ei dosing last Wednesday ( 10 days ago). And most of the plants which are not doing well were just added on Sunday ( 5 days ago) They looked great when I planted them and have gotten worse each day since.

I know I am forgetting something ....just wanted a little input . Is there something else I should be adding?
I will try to get to a computer so I can post some pics a bit later...

Thanks in advance , Scott

Most plants will go thru a melting phase when first planted, if nutrients are right you will start to see new growth and can trim back the damaged leaves. Probably just need to give it some time to establish. My opinion is that you might be running lights a bit too long for such high wattage. But someone else may better be able to answer that part.

They should. Every plant I've ever gotten has had some initial die off and melting until it established itself again and started new growth. I would just try to trim off a bit of the dead leaves, it takes more energy to try to heal than it does to produce new growth.

Swords are huge root feeders. Your gravel is probably inert. You need to add root tabs. From the pictures, your gravel is kind of big. May not be suitable for most plants. Some plants do melt but they rarely melt all of the leaves unless they are crypts. Or they are originally grown immersed. Anubias is a slower grower. You may only see one new leaf per month. You said you are dosing EI, how much Nitrates, Potassium, and Phosphate you are dosing?

yup gravel is big but just top layer under that is really small almost like big sand

I am using osomocote+ root tabs

dosing is ; kh2po4=1.5g
kno3 =10g
k2so4 =14g dosed in solution on Monday, Wednesday and Friday

plantex csm+b 6.5g dosed in solution on alternate days

sunday 50% wc

btw how often should I be putting in the root tabs?....
