Miracle Gro in a bag in filter for fertilization?

I am thinking of putting a bag (little filter bag) of Miracle Grow in my filter to spread nutrients in the tank (10 gallons). Any opinions on this?

Generally a no-no... There's a few threads covering why... Search miracle grow in the forum search.

Would instantly make the tank a muddy mess.
Would be better off adding dry fertilizer's or liquid fertz.

As others have mentioned, it is a very bad idea to do what you have suggested.

Not only would it create a mess, there is often urea in Miracle Grow, so you could be potentially endangering your livestock, as urea eventually breaks down into ammonia.

I guess it wasn't such a good idea after all. Thanks for the help.
