CO2 diffusion question
I have the Sera Flora 1000 CO2 reactor on my 38G bowfront. It seems to take forever to diffuse the CO2 into the water though it does seem like it does a good job as I cannot see any bubbles coming through the spraybar.
I base my "takes forever" assesment on the fact that the reactor continues to gurgle (the sound it makes as the spinning blade chops up the CO2 pocket) for about 90minutes after the CO2 flow is shut off.
The common consensus seems to be that one should turn the CO2 on 1 hour before lights on and off 1 hour before lights out. Is it safe to say in my situation that I should be upping those numbers to more like 2hrs? It just seems pointless for it to continue to diffuse CO2 for 30 minutes after the lights are out.
