Dry iron fert

Plan on puttin flourite black sand in my 72 Gal bow

I was wondering is there any iron dry ferts I can put under the sand?

i dont think you could put dry iron under the substrate, it will mix in water.

Laterite is iron rich. Also the Grō Soil Tabs are high in iron (and other good stuff). I got some of them from the RAOK he did and I'm really impressed with them. It would be very easy to put them down first before the sand.

O crap , totally forgot about laterite !!!

I'm thinking if the flourite sand can hold ferts , placing the laterite underutilized could only help with iron treatment

laterite should be fine, i thought you meant to ask dry fert in powder form, which wouldn't work.

i ordered so root tabs from pfertz, they have 15% iron in them

+1 on laterite. That's what I used and also some peat under eco complete
