My SeaChem test kit gave a result of about .2. The calulator said .25 teaspoon of potassium nitrate would bring it up to 3.78. The next day the test still says .2. Tried again, same result. Could the plants use it in a day?

Does this make sense or should I suspect my test kit?

I don't mind dosiing more. I'm just afraid to OD the fish.
