Post Plant Suggestions For Low-tech Tank?

Hi everybody.
Here is my tank. As you can see I have only planted the right side of the tank except for the saggitaria on the left foreground. Don't ask why, that's just how my brain works.

I am pretty knew to planted tanks, and as I am 14, money is tight for equipment. I have a single t8 15 watt bulb for my 15 gallon, no co2 and plain gravel with root tabs. I currently have saggitaria, myrophillum, some sort of crypt (it melted back when I moved it.), Bacopa caroliniana and hygrophila corymbosa.

I was planning on having vallisneria spiralis on the left background, but my pH is 6.8 and I have soft water. After some research, I realised that that vals need hard, alkaline water. Does anyone have any ideas for an easy plant for that area?

Next to that, I was planning on having a kind of wall of wisteria and on the left side of the mopani, some java fern.

Does anybody have some ideas/suggestions/criticism?
