When the weather really warms up the tanks current inhabitants will be going out into the pond, three goldfish. The substrate will be miracle grow organic capped with 60 pounds of ecocomplete. I have 40 pounds right now but I am unsure if that will be enough. Well anyways, I want the tank to look like a grassy hill sloping toward one end or the middle without actually sloping the substrate too much. The lights I have on the tank right now are two 32 watt 6500k t8s. From the lowest side of the 'hill' I want to use dwarf sag, then crypts, then this is the gray area, then vals and other tall stems. So if anyone sees any issues or could help out with the very area to fill in between the crypts and tall plants that'd be helpful.
Oh and my name is Brett. I don't think I've ever really introduced myself. There will be a journal by the way. I am hoping to stock her with lots of microfish that will enjoy the 'grass'. And no I don't want to use co2 but I will else micro and macro nutrients.
I look forward to your new tank journal. From what I can tell, it sounds like you will be running a low light tank. I think your plant selection is good. You probably won't have an algae issue either, with is very good!
