29g lighting.

Can anyone suggest a good t8 24" grow bulb. I have java fern and wisteria fern along with assorted tetras and ghost shrimp. A good lighting schedule as well.

I currently have a T8 plant spec aqueon from petsmart. for my 37 gallon. I don't think it is sufficient. I ordered the Aqueon LED light fixture with 2 extra colormax.

Not sure if I will use both or just the new fixture.

29g lighting.

If your 29g is the standard 30" tank I would highly recommend a 30" Finnex Fugeray.

I just received this fixture in the mail today and just put it on my tank. I Love it!!!

It replaces the 2 Aqueon/Coralife 30" T5NO fixtures that I was using.

I'm thinking about finnex LED for my reef tank. Might give them a try.

I have 3 spiral CFL (23 watts each, 6500k range), each hooked to aluminum light bulb clams.

Total +1. It will give you about 30 par, perfect for a low tech tank as well as giving you light that will be sufficient for lots of other plants. A single t8 is insufficient if you really want a lush low tech tank IMO
