K/Fe snail food?

i was wondering if anyone who wasn't dosing or using fertilizer had ever tried feeding snails potassium and iron rich food such as small banana pieces or spinach? would snails even eat bananas? or would it just rot in the tank?

i'm not doing this, but just wondering your thoughts. maybe there is something comparable, but i always hear people talk about how fish food doesn't supply these nutrients.

Snails eat different foods. Some are more meat eaters (assassin snails, for example). Most are omnivorous.

I would sure try feeding snails a wide assortment of foods, fruits, vegetables...

Many snails do not have strong mouth parts and will probably eat the harder vegetables better if you blanch them or cook them until they are barely tender.
