Is this enough light?

I just purchased a Marineland LED Double Bright Aquarium Lighting system. It says it has: 24"-36" - (8) 1 Watt daylight LED's, 4 Lunar LED's, 600 Lumens.

Will this be enough light for a low-tech system for a 40 gallon breeder tank? Or am I going to need more light for it? I plan on having mostly anubias with possible some valencia and microswords and amazon swords if possible.

The"Watts per gallon" rule is outdated. This was a general guideline in the days of t12 bulbs. Aquarium lighting has evolved and it is more important to understand how much PAR value your lights provide. Lower wattage LED's are very popular, but because they do not use the same wattage are you suggesting they are not enough? LED's are in fact sufficient for aquarium usage, emit high light and consume less power. As far as your specific light fixture, I am no expert and can only direct you to the "LED Lighting Compendium" found on these forums here: LED Lighting Compendium This should provide you some answers and helpful information regarding your questions.
