Thinking about starting up a 29 gallon low tech tank. Just some anubias mainly. I have a single 17 watt aqueon full spectrum flourescent on my 20 long with anubias and marimo and everything looks amazing. Will the extra 6 inches really make a difference? I was just going to put the aqueon fI'll spectrum on the 29. Will it work?
Probably alright with a single for just anubias, but it is pretty low light. I struggled with a single T8 on a 20H to get much grow. I'd suggest a double bulb fixture for the height of a 29. If it proves to be too much you can always raise it, screen under it, or take a bulb out.
I like the extra hight of the 29 compared to my 20 long. I think I'll try it out with the dual t8s. I think dual t5s would be an overkill, espically over anubias and marimos.
