question on light ing

I have 48" Odysse quad lighting 48 inch 2 x 54watt ho 6700k 48 inch 2 x 54watt ho 10000k Sitting right above my 75 gallon (48" h x 22" w x 18" d ) about 21 inches above substrate Is this enought to grow a dwarf baby tears hc carpet? Is it enought to grow dwarf hairgrass carpet ? I have pressurised co2 (5bps), dosing pps~ pro daily + root tabs in inert sand substrate I seem to have a problem in the past so I took both out and want to try again... Please help.....

Correct me if I'm wrong, those are t5 bulbs?

It seems 4 of those bulbs would put you in the mid area, especially at 18" depth.

They are
T5 ho bulbs and the tank seems pretty bright eye view ...

Do you still think it's medium light?

I have the same type of lighting on my 75. I am growing a DHG carpet just fine. The local fish store uses one T5 bulb at 12 inches and they complain that it's too much light. I would consider 4 T5s high light myself. I had crazy algae going on so I just turned the timing of my lights down.

I believe so, I'm not 100% on it, but I've had similar lights (250 watts T5) on a 55 that wasn't high lighting.

I'm not an expert on HC, but wouldn't there be a bigger issue trying to grow it on sand?

What's the issue with growing hc on sand I thought it did better in sand?

Also so from experience again I have

2 48" t5 ho 6700k
+
2 48" t5 ho 10000k

About 21 inches above substrate .... From experience is it highlight or medium light?

I have never grown HC, but it's my understanding that the roots need to "grab on" to surfaces like rock or driftwood. I've watched videos where people attach it rocks like you would a moss or some anubias. This is just me, but I would see issues when the carpet started pearling and began to float away. I'm sure I would have that issue anyway. I could be 100% wrong on all of this though.
