Regardless it is pointless arguing about this anymore as any light that does not pass the "jeff" color standard will always be subpar. Funny because every picture I have seen of your tank is always just blasting a random color and the only one I have seen with all channels on looks pretty washed out.
Some of the best looking tanks on here which run T5's have a purple hue to them and it is what I wanted to mimic. If I wanted my tank to look like Mars I could have easily done that. I will enjoy my tanks which apparently look like reefs (I guess I am really colorblind).
1) I never said it was sub-par nor that "indigo" was not high in PAR..
I said it was a personal choice..
As to washed out.. far from it.. BTW: you can see the cyan "toning" on the quartz rocks..
As I said.. it is a matter of taste.. What "I" can see or like.. Never said any different..
you just said you pimp "violet" because it archives a goal "you" want.. I offer alt. position. no more no less.
A finger to show no color cheating
Maybe too much "green" for some..
i'd gladly admit some would prefer a "crisper, bluer" light.. Which is one of the reasons to add rb channel to a DIY blend..and the ability to switch K color in a broad range..
my "mars" is a brief morning ramp up.. and I understand it is not for everyone..
