30 gallon Tank - 36 x 12 - Lighting Questions

I currently have a standard flourescent 62 w fixture with dual grow bulbs.

I have been looking at the newer LED fixtures from Fluval and Finnex. My girlfriend bought me a aqualife led setup prom a LFS for my tank. I have been hesitant to open it after seeing the offerings from Finnex.

A couple of questions;

1. Does it make sense to go with an led fixture over flourescent given this size tank?

2. If it does, should I install the fluval light I was given as a gift.

3. Are the offerings from Finnex a better product?

4. What size light would I be looking from at from Finnex my 30 gallon tank, they have no sizing options on their site.

Thanks in advance

Lighting all depends on what you're trying to grow and what you plan on running with it, co2 etc..

55 gal heavy planted low tech south American tank
38 gal bow front live bearer tank

14 gal cf newly planted
10 gal Marineland led low tech low light
10 gal Marineland led qt tank
6 gal snail breeder
5 gal fluval chi dust collector

Both the Finnex Ray2 and Fugeray would give you high light, which I doubt that you want. High light commits you to using pressurized CO2. But, a Finnex Monster Ray would be great on that tank - good low to low medium light, and a good color spectrum for both fish and plants.
