Zoomed Aquasun 2x24W
So I have a 15" tall aquarium with about 3" of substrate. For lighting I have the Zoomed Aquasun 2x24W T5HO with Giesemann bulbs, daylight and aquaflora combo.
The light hangs about 4" above the aquarium, putting about 16" between the light and the substrate. I'm currently running an 8hr photoperiod and using pressurized CO2.
Would this be considered extremely high lighting? Should I raise the light anymore or should it be alright where it stands? I'm not looking to create an algae farm here...
I've read that these these units aren't the best in regards to ballasts and reflectors, but with no hard PAR data on the forum that I can find, I'm looking for some personal experiences with these lights. Any insight anyone could give me would be much appreciated.
