Lighting for a 75 g planted tank
I'm a returned hobbist and is setting up a 75 gallong glass tank with a lot plants. Was keeping planted fish tank 20 years ago on a lot tech base and was quite successful, even with two generation angels and sold some plants to LFS.
I'm planing to use DIY CO2 system (Do not want the trouble with pressurized system, and do not want to inject a lot of CO2) and two Eheim 2215 filters. Will keep up to 7 angles and two dozen cardinals, with a few Otos to keep the tank clean. My question is, what type of light to use. Here are the options:
2 strip lights of T5,
2 trip lights of T5HO,
The problem with T5 or T5HO is that it is quite hot. Here in Texas, I do not want additional heat source in the summer, regardless.
I wound want to go wiht LED, but con't find a reliable source, do any of you have any recommendations, what is the advantage and disadvantage. The initial investment wiht LED is high, so I want to get it right.
