Where are the dome reflectors?

I've scoured the net for the past few days and am shocked to literally find only the HD, Exo terra, or Zoomed reflectors. If vertical positioning is so much more efficient than horizontal, why are all the pro grow reflectors horizontal?

I'm shocked that there are no other options for pendant-style reflectors. Are the cheap HD ones the best there are?

Where are the dome reflectors?

Searched every possible combo of words. Nothing but the standard HD ones really.

Because the overwhelming shape of aquariums is rectangular.

But fret not, for this might be the solution.

Maybe I am a bit confused on what you are looking for. Have you seen Finnex CFL clip-on light?

My guess is he's looking for a nicer looking version of a brooder lamp.

I saw someone on here make a nice looking shade out of some stainless bowls from Ikea. He just used a hole saw in the bottom and used it like the brooder dome. They come in different sizes too.

ETA: here's the link where the guy made them DIY pendant Light - IKEA lights

Ha! That was my backup option. I am talking about reflector quality more so than look, although look is definitely a plus.

Are you talking about this kind? I think it should work pretty well... I found these on amazon for about 10$ and they had pretty good reviews. Plus they clamp on. It isnt pendant style but for the price I think its pretty swell

I bought mine at Lowes. They are called "work lights" and you can find them in the electrical dept.

Where are the dome reflectors?

Used those forever. Just wondering why there isn't anything better/nicer at this point.

Probably just going to find the best 10.5" and top it with a bowl or wrap a sheet of copper around the top like a pendent light.
