Upgraded lighting suggestions for a 150 gallon

Hey guys, as this is my first posting on this forum I would begin by saying I am a 20 year old, male student living in Trinidad with a 150 gallon (5ftx2ftx2ft) main display tank.

My tank is planted with several types of anubias, sunset crypts, giant amazon sword, crypt Balansaes, and a crinium natan.

P.H 8.4
G.H 6
K.H 7

Temp 79 - 81 degrees.

Filtration:

Fluval Fx5

TurboTwist 36W Inline UV Sterilizer

Substrate:
Pool filter stand supplemented with flourish tabs

Stocklist:

12 Lake Wanam rainbowfish
20 Denison barbs will be added soon, will be reduced to 12 soon after.
6 Bolivian rams (will be removed next month)

So now you know the basics of my tank I'll let you know what is happening now.

This tank has been established almost a year and uses a 48''-60'' marineland double bright led.

With 35 PAR at 24'', the distance between my substrate and light is around 22'' so low - low/med light.

I am now looking to upgrade my lighting as I would like to use the current fixture on a discus grow out tank and I will be adding more plants such as red tiger lotuses and more sunset crypts.

I will not be adding a C02 system but I do have Flourish, Excel, and Potassium on hand supplemented by flourish tabs under the plants.

I was looking at these fixtures and would replace it with recommended spectrum bulbs:

I'm not sure if the ballast is good tho..

I would like some recommendations on what lighting I should upgrade to and what spectrum bulbs I need.

Thank you

Options:
Inda-Gro.com induction fluorescent. These have useful working lifetimes similar to led.

Led

New Lighting for a 150 gallon- 6 ft open top tank.-UPDATED! GROWTH PICS!

Metal halide
Look over this sites links because advances in lighting are more prevalent in reef keeping than in planted aquaria. Some of the lighting technology is useful to the planted aquaria hobbyist. This link will lead to metal halide. Note the Grassy Grow Pearl White. It has an acceptable spectrum, not too blue. http://reefbuilders.com/2010/06/17/g...light-addicts/

the plants you have are mainly low to medium light. I have similar in my 180 and run 2 80W T5HO bulbs. Out of the 2 you chose, the 4 x 54 would be the better choice. I would get the 2 of the 12000K (these are very white/blueish) and 2 of the 6500K (these likely will be a little yellowish), and run 1 and 1 in each bank to even them out.

Upgraded lighting suggestions for a 150 gallon

Thanks for both of your suggestions. I really like the build my led set up but two fixtures is way out of my budget range at the moment.

Seeing as tho my tank is 5ft long instead of the conventional 6ft 150 gal, would a single custom 36'' fixture from buildmyled be sufficient for medium lighting?

In my aquarium hood there is an internal shelf where my current light rests on, the distance measures 42'' so that's why I think the 3ft might be a more suitable choice.

This is the spectrum I put together, what do you guys think?

Like I said, I'm going for good medium light in my tank, so would one of these in a 36'' be enough?
