Lighting for a dummie like me
So i have a 75 gallon planted tank, i believe its 18" from top to substrate. i have 4-32watt fluorscent bulbs sitting on the top of the tank. 2 of them are 6500k and the other 2 are 5000k. The tank appears to be getting enough light, no algea problems, there is plant growth. So is this enough light? To much light? Ive been reading on EI and believe im gonna give this a try as my plants dont look unhealthy, there just not as green as id like to see them.
some jungle val.
Also i have just set up a 10 gallon tank last night, 12" from top to substrate, this one has a coralife t5 light, but how do i tell if its a NO or HO? I made an awesome score off of craigslsit for all this epuipment and tanks and as a newbie im learning as i go.
There is no CO2 on these tanks, the 75 gallon has a DIY but that obviously has no impact. and as the 10 gallon is small enough i can get away with a DIY until i go pressurized.
My funds are limited so im doing what i can with what i have and plan to upgrade a bit at a time.
So any suggestions or ideas would be much appreciated...
