Bulb recommendation

I just purchased this little desktop lamp to light a planted bowl I'm putting together. The problem is that the hood is just a bit smaller than I'd like, but I really like the lamp.

The bulb you see is a "standard" daylight CFL. Wanting to see if someone can recommend a physically smaller bulb. Not looking for extremely high light, but obviously want the color temp to be right. Wouldn't mind LED if it anyone knows of one.

LED floods are usually flat at the end... that might give you the lower profile you want. 5000k to 10000k spectrum would be fine.

Sorry 18w and I got these at lowes my bad sometimes I forget since
I buy them a lot. They're in a tall round plastic case and on the bulb it is listed as nexxus lighting. Pretty powerful but best of all you wont see it

The "not seeing it" part is what I'm most interested in. Thanks! There's a Home Depot close to my office, and I have a gift card laying around from there, so I'll take a look.

Also, look for mini CFL bulbs they are smaller than regular sized CFLs but not sure if it will be small enough not to see it with that hood.
