A regular bar type Ray II will get you above 50 PAR at 10", is that enough for your needs. (at 6" deep it is 130 PAR, drops to 49 PAR at 12")

Dat's a lot o' light

Rapid LED dimmable driver with potentiometer
40 60 or 80 degree lenses. Which should I use for a mini m?
Assorted wire, plugs, etc.
About 60-90 dollars for everything

So tell me what drivers and stuff I should use instead of this in your opinion. So what optics and LEDs? I will use cool whites.
Have you seen this site? http://www.buildmyled.com/freshwater-show-tank/
Click the diy app there, also.

Yes I have. I'm going to buy a different light but I want to make one as well (why not)
I really thought 80 par is considered high light.

People, please stay on subject. I am building a fixture, I have no interest in buying.

I thought 99% of the fun for DIY was actually doing the research, figuring out the components and, you know, doing it yourself? Not just having someone provide you with a shopping list?
