48" lights on my 60" tank

I have 2 Finnex Ray2 48" DS lights, and I want to use them on my 60" long tank. (If they made 60" long ones, I would have gone for those...)

2 questions:

1) What are my options for extending the finnex fixtures so as to span the length of the tank? Preferably something I can move around as I like to trim/maintain with my hands inside the tank regularly...

2) What's the best way to arrange the lighting? Should I stagger it?

Or center it?

Would it be prudent to get a third light and place it vertically on the "dead side"? I'm trying to arrange access to a PAR meter so that I can really see what's going on inside the tank, but I don't know how soon that will happen.

At the moment, the lights are haphazardly placed on a couple of glass pieces that I have to constantly move around in order to work in the tank, and I'm just not happy with it.

I'd center it, like a 24 inch bulb in a 29 gallons hood.
