LED light for 20L

I'm thinking about getting an LED system for a 20L. I've been using CFL's with shop lights, so it'll be a nice upgrade. I'm planning on growing mosses and then if I can keep them alive, erios and downoi.

There aren't that many 30" fixtures I've come across.

I'm considering the Fugeray, but I don't really like the moonlights and I'm not sure if it would be enough light to carpet with HC if I choose too. I read in another thread that it's about 33 micromols PAR at 18", but my setup would probably be about 12 inches away from substrate.

The Ray II is another option, but will it be too much light? Would only using one of LED strips be an option to cut light to a reasonable level?

There's an Aqueon one too, but I haven't seen too many reviews about it. I haven't heard great things about Aqueon products in general though.

If anyone has info on the above LED lights or any others I'm missing, I'd appreciate it.

Edit: Just found this thread with PAR data for these fixtures at various heights. Finnex RAY II & FugeRAY PAR Data

It looks like at 12 inches, I'll probably have about 80 micromol PAR with the RayII and 48 micromol with the Fugeray.

Unless you are running heavy CO2 and doing something that really, specifically, requires high light levels then 48 mmol should be plenty of light.

I wish that we had PAR data on those new Aquatic Life .5W expandable fixtures. Aquatic Life is good about offering the less common 20" and 30" fixtures that most companies ignore.

30" Fugeray will be strong enough on a 20L that if you don't supplement with ferts and CO2, you'll have an algae farm. So I think you'll definitely be able to grow HC.

As far as moonlights go, they're on a separate switch so you don't have to use them. Most modern LED fixtures include them.
