Does the Home Depot or Lowes carry these bulbs..In 18" T8 ? Also, what bulbs do you use in your tanks? I'm looking for a nice combination that is pleasing to the eye as well as good for the plants. I kinda like a blue tint or just bright white. Any suggestions?

I haven't seen any good aquarium bulbs at Home Depot in the 18" variety. But they're fairly affordable at aquarium shops. A good 5000K bulb can be had for $7-$8 at PetsMart

I do know that Home Depot and Lowes both carry a very wide color range for T8's however I don't know how many for 18". Look for some plant bulbs in Home Depot though. They are pretty much the same as the ones in petsmart only a lot cheaper.

Just check the stats to make sure it is right and you aren't being ripped of. they should be around these:

Kelvin: 5000-10000
CRI: 85
Lumens: 2000
