The Hagen Glo would probably be better because its reflector tries to curve around each bulb while the SOLITE only has one big reflector for both bulbs.
The Hagen Glo would put you at about 37 par (Lighting an Aquarium with PAR instead of Watts) which is medium light so a glosso carpet may not be possible. You might need two fixtures and co2.

You could roll with 2 2x54W AquaticLife fixtures ($260 total) and link them together. That'll put you almost at an unlimited plant capability as long as you have ferts and CO2. If you buy the 2 and link them together you will save $100 instead of buying the 4 bulb fixture - downside is you don't get moonlight LEDs which would look amazing on a discus tank at night.

Why not get a couple Finnex Ray II DS? 50 PAR @ 24 inches, runs cool, low power, nice shimmer -- will really make your discus pop.

Well if the SOLITE has individual polished reflectors then they may be the better option. I have not heard of them and a quick search on google said they had one reflector only.

Ops sorry. Only the 4x54w has individual parabolic reflector. Yah, have made up my mind to get one of these set. Thanks (:
