Exclamation Lighting for 45cm Cube Hightech

Hi guys

need a light for my 45cm cube going to run c02 on it with ferts. i want to grow HC

Any suggestions?

That's tricky because since the tank has 17" depth a single light would not be uniform if you went with something like a Finnex Ray II in 18in size. Two 18in Ray II's though would give you uniform light throughout and you would definitely be in high light range. Or you could always go DIY LED as well.

what you linked is not strong enough. It's barely enough for a low light tank on a 5 gal

Just my opinion but I think there are cheaper, more attractive, more practical and more efficient options than a $270 fixture.

Even a CFL daylight bulb or two in a nice fixture would be nice.

2 18" Ray 2's spaced about 3 inches apart would give you the amount of light you are looking for. Or DIY with Cree XM-L and 60 deg optics suspended above the tank would also work.
