Lighting Problem

So, my boss has told me that I can have a nano on my desk.... as long as it didnt have cords running to an outlet... Are there any battery operated lights out there that I could use? Just looking low light. Not trying to go high tech here....

Do you not have a desk lamp? If you have a desk lamp it would be enough light to fill your tank with various anubias and maybe moss.

Even if you figure out the lighting issue, how will you run a filter without power?

Frequent water changes.... Few times a week probably. It wouldnt be any different than a Walstad bowl or something to that effect

Any way you can get a desk lamp "to help you see your work better" and just happen to place it next to your new cordless nano tank?
