Hello there everyone!
Great site you have here! Lots of great information. However I have not seen much about 15 gallon tanks :icon_redf and that is what my question is regarding to!
I have kept a 75g Mbuna tank for quite some time now ( can post some pics if you folks would enjoy em ) and I recently won a 15 gallon tank in a small raffle haha. Well I am not one to let a good thing go to waste so I figured it may be a good time to try a planted tank!
So I have the 15 gallon aquarium already, and next is another surprise. My fiance bought me a lighting fixture for X-mas last year thinking it would work on a Mbuna tank. Unfortunately it was never opened until now. So I THINK I may have a decent lighting fixture for it. But what I am concerned about is if it will provide enough light for any plants I want in my tank. This is the lighting fixture she bought me:

It is an AquaticLife T5-HO Duo 24 Inch. I know! Its weird because it will fit perfectly on my 15 gallon haha! I have not changed the bulbs and they are just the stock ones. One seems to be slightly dimmer than the other ( I believe this is the bulb 24 in T5 HO 24W 420/460 Lamp from the manual ).
Do you guys think if I pick up a CO2 System (pressurized, fiance does not want a DIY one in the house bahaha ) that It would be enough lighting for a couple High Light plants? Thanks for any and all info! I can also post a picture of the 15 gallon with the light on and no water if it helps! Thanks in advance!
