New to planted tanks need help upgrading!

Hi all I am new to keeping planted tanks although I have quite a successful nano tank I need some help.
I currently have a Rio 180 set up with cichlids that I want to change to a planted tank. I currently am running the stock lights which came with the tank.

What would be the best way to upgrade this to a let's say "medium" light for a planted tank?

A lot of folks will ask about measurements and such of your tank.

Is it the tank that's about 100cm/38-40in long and 50cm/20in tall? (Just want to make sure I'm thinking about the right tank.

Could you let us know what lighting currently exists with the tank? There are several fixtures that are 36 inches long that could work for you. And some you may be able to use to retrofit your current setup, depending upon what's included.

The tank is 40" long 50" high and 16" deep. The current lighting is 895mm 45w high lite day and nature bulbs.
