I have been to 3 different stores today trying to sort out my lighting for my 6x2x2 it now has 4x54w t5. My next step was going to be to get relectors for thease before making my mind up about putting any more in because they are only 4 ft bulbs (cant seem to find 6ft ) and i am thinking there may be some dead spots.
I have seen reflectors ranging from £8 to £25 has anyone used the cheaper ones to goo effect.
From everything I read it seems that the reflectors and ballast make or break the light. So if you have decent ballast driving the bulbs it would be a waste to use junk reflectors, ultimately losing alot of potential light. I would check into the TEK reflectors or maybe even the Hagen ones used with their GLO retro kits.
I have 2xt5 HO with JBL solar reflekt each, Philips el.balasts.If I down the fixture under 60cm,algae issues.1 bulb running for 8 hours,2 bulbs only for 3-4 hours midburst.
