Looking for hardware..

Im looking for the hardware that is used to clamp the small braided cable that is included with a majority of light fixtures in order to hang the fixtures.

Looking for the small pieces that the cable runs through, they usually
have 1 or 2 set screws that bite down on the cable to keep it from sliding.

Anyone know what what im talking about?

Thanks!

I think what you're looking for are called cable grippers. But unfortunately I haven't found a place online yet that sells them for very cheap. Your other option, yet not as sleek, would be aluminum ferrules or stops that you just clamp down w/ vice grips or a swaging tool.

Yeah. Cable clamps. Any hardware store should have them. You can also get the kind that are crimped. I picked up some for 1/16 cable a couple weeks ago at the local Ace Hardware.

Here is what I used to mount my fixture over my 60-p. There are some pics in the journal in my sig. I got them from Lowes/Home Depot I believe.

That's exactly what I used. Worked good and is relatively low profile.

I drilled and tapped the stops so I could fine tune the length.

Oh thats not going to work for me.

i need the top half of the hardware to be adjustable, where the loop is.
My fixture came with the cable to hang it, and instead of the cable just running through a hole, it has a threaded fitting on the end and threads onto another threaded fitting coming off the fixture.

Well, heck, you could always use rope. tie or clamp it to the fixture, run it up over a hook or pulley, and down to a cleat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleat_%28nautical%29). With a couple wraps, they'll hold a boat in place if anchored securely. If you wanted cheap and adjustable, that's an option. Unfortunately I don't think it will work for wire.

These are included with Hagen Glo fixtures, however these specific parts
are in use with a shop light over my work bench right now.
