whats the difference between roseate,actinic and daylight?

And which ones should i be using. i have a fixture for a 55gallon that holds 4 bulbs 54w HO. if i had to choose between roseate,actinic and daylight, what combination is best for pant growth as well as look?

Daylight, 5500k-11000k.

I use 1x54w 6700k and 1x54w 10k.

Everyone seems to have their own preference.

Daylight - Your basic, mostly balanced white. Typically 6500K or so. Everyone's got their own idea of what "white" is though. Grows plants fine.

Actinic - Heavy in the blue spectrum. Needed for reefkeeping, but unnecessary for freshwater; and contributes little to plant growth. Avoid these.

Roseate - Heavy in the red spectrum. Grows plants a bit better than white, but by no means necessary. Looks pink and unnatural if used alone. When used in combination with white bulbs, some people like the look and find the extra red highlights their red plants and fish.
